Surf Hat Delivers Sold-Out Tour Finale at Kilby Court in Salt Lake City

Surf Hat closes out their debut U.S. tour with a sold-out performance at Kilby Court, bringing a crowd of all ages into the Salt Lake City venue’s signature garage space for a final show that felt both engaging and sincere. The British Columbia–based band has steadily gained attention for their surf-rock sound, and their Kilby Court performance showcased why audiences across the tour have connected with them.
The evening opened with Chicago indie-alternative group The Back Alley, who delivered a close-to-the-heart set. The setlist included tracks such as Grey Skies and Brand New, along with a crowd-lifting cover of Whitney Houston’s "I Wanna Dance With Somebody". Their magnetic energy set the tone for a high-energy, talent-filled night within the indie scene in Salt Lake City.
